Congrats to our tennis whānau whose hard work over the last year and more has seen Ōtaki Sports Club shortlisted for Club of the Year in Tennis Central’s 2022 awards.

We are also a shortlisted finalist in the club volunteer section of the awards.

The winners are announced at an event in Wellington on 21 May.

Tennis Central is made up of 65 clubs from Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatū, Wairarapa, Kāpiti, Mana, Hutt Valley and Wellington.

We are in very good company, with three Davis Cup players — Marcus Daniell (Olympic bronze medallist), Ajeet Rai and Isaac Becroft — up for senior male player of the year!
