Great news for junior tennis this summer: we have a highly-regarded professional tennis coach funded for term 4 and term 1 next year to provide four sessions of after-school coaching every Tuesday at the club.
The coach is Kurt McNamara (pictured below), previously head coach at Feilding Tennis Club for 10 years, and now coaching at four schools in Palmerston North, a former Premier 1 player in Wellington, and the winner of many tennis comps, including the 2021 Manawatū Open Champs. Kurt is also executive officer of Tennis Manawatū.
A massive thanks to the Wellington Community Trust for funding Kurt’s involvement with Ōtaki Sports Club’s juniors.
