Congrats to our tennis whānau whose hard work over the last year has seen Ōtaki Sports Club shortlisted for Club of the Year in Tennis Central’s 2023 awards.

This is the second year in a row that Ōtaki Sports Club has been up for the club of the year award.

It comes on the back of a 70 percent increase in player numbers in 2022/23 (which follows a 100 percent increase in 2021/22), and a big jump in interclub teams to 16, up from 10 the previous season.

We are also a shortlisted finalist in the club volunteer section of the awards.

The winners are announced at an event in Wellington on 19 August.

Tennis Central is made up of 65 clubs from Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatū, Wairarapa, Kāpiti, Mana, Hutt Valley and Wellington.
